Journey and the Unfinished Swan came as a double pack, the former becoming many people’s game of the year. The latter stages of the PS3 was also when Sony stood up and took notice of the indie scene, bringing with it some of the very best games on the market. Insomniac also brought forward the Resistance trilogy, before becoming a multiplatform studio.
Naughty Dog shone with the Uncharted trilogy and The Last of Us, while Sucker Punch produced two stellar InFamous offerings.
Sony’s solid first party lineup meant that some of the greatest games of the past generation were only available on the PS3.
